Q: How does Survey.la collect the information from the survey and where is it stored?
A form on the website is generated by the clients browser when they access a specific survey. The responses are sent to our servers where they are logged into our database. The database is in a folder on the server completely separate from the website structure and is not accessible by any outside party.

Q: How to distribute the survey through email?
You are welcome to use any email dispatching service you want to invite people to respond to your survey.Please note the difference between using your program and Survey.la to do it. Through Survey.la, you have the ability to track who answered the survey and what their answers were. You are able to automatically designate passwords for login and to send reminders for participation. If you use 3rd party system, most of these can still be achieved, but will be subject to additional fees by Survey.la.

Q: How long does it take to launch an online survey?
If you subscribe to a service package that include access to our survey editor, your survey can be created and launched as quickly as within a few minutes.
Using our step-by-step, form-based system, you can quickly enter your questions and options, choose your layout preferences, and configure your survey with your logo, images and campaign settings easily. Preview your survey, then activate your survey instantly or schedule it for later activation. Post an open link to your survey on your web site or Intranet, or upload your respondent list or panel and send personalized email invitations.
Alternatively, you can use our full service, and we will create the survey for you. We’ll setup your survey, design your questionnaire and deliver it to you for your online review within 3 business days for most surveys.

Q: How do I invite people to take my survey?
When your survey is ready to launch, you can post an inviting link or banner on your web site or Intranet. This method is typically used when your survey is open to general public, especially when the respondent list or panel is not known in advance. In the case that your respondent list or panel is known, you can use our automated mailing list feature and distribute a personalized invitation to thousands or even tens of thousands of respondents with just a few clicks. Other invitation options include branching from another software application (such as a registration, e-commerce or customer service system or process), posting your survey URL in a newsletter, printing your survey URL and / or as QR code on a postcard, brochure, letter, or any other printed material for distribution, printing the survey QR code on a product registration card or within the product itself, or presenting your survey at a kiosk or on-site computer.

Q: Can I test my survey prior to making it live?
Yes. At any time during the design process you can preview and test your survey. Use the Preview feature to check for content, style, usability, and the proper working of various navigation controls, condition settings, required fields, user messages and optional links to supporting material, artwork, or multimedia.

Q: Does Survey.la support conditional jumping and branching?
Definitely. Jumping/branching feature of Survey.la is able to display subsets of questions/pages based on specific answers to a previous question, or bypass portions of your survey altogether. You can also use Condition Engine to dynamically display relevant pages / questions / options only.

Q: Can I run multi-page surveys?
Yes. The flexibility of Survey.la allows you to display your entire survey on one page, or break up your survey on multiple pages. You can specify how many questions you would like to display per page, or take control and put your page breaks manually. Furthermore, questions can be segmented into Groups, allowing a logical flow to long and complex surveys.

Q: Can I customize my survey by adding my own logo and other images?
Yes. You can add logos and thumbnails, even animation and video files, in a variety of places on your survey pages. You can add a watermark or background texture, and include images or other media as part of your questions and answers.

Q: Can I make my survey appear to be part of my web site, or retain my organization’s color scheme, style and branding?

Q: What special feature does Survey.la provide for employment application?
Other than questions and answers, Survey.la supports file upload in the course of form filling, for applicants to upload their resumes. Files are stored in separate server location. File formats can also be restricted to relevant types. Q: Why Multi-language feature is critical for a survey?
